OOC INFO
Name: Zapperkat
Contact: http://www.plurk.com/Zapperkat
Other characters: Nada!
IC INFO
Name: Aftermath
Canon/Continuity: IDW Transformers
Reference: None!
Canon Point: Sometime after Megatron puts out the abridged version of Towards Peace.
Personality:
- Growly
- Grumbly
- Nosy as fuck
- Pretty damn sharp
AU or OC Info: Was an armored truck, frontliner grunt named Deadbolt up until his unit was killed messily about halfway through the war. Decepticon frontline grunts didn't really get remembered much though, so Aftermath got pissed and wrote up his first article criticizing the poisonous and callous nature of Decepticon societal attitude towards its own people.
They called him a wimp and traitor and wanted him executed of course, but he's a Decepticon frontline grunt and he beat his way out of that, escaped on a space ship and high tailed off. He still stubbornly keeps his badge, albeit usually against his spark instead of on his chest and spent the rest of the war diving into war zones to interview soldiers of both factions. That and also accumulating all sorts of stories, top secret horrors and conspiracies along the way.
Now that the war's over and he's somehow managed to survive, he's got his hands full trying to figure the new political climate.
Sample:
You didn't survive a few million interviews with Decepticons and Autobots of various ranks without needing a break now and again. Aftermath was unfortunately obsessive about his job and not quite so balanced in the self-care department.
It's not until he's slept two whole days in a pile of datapads with an arm still disconnected at the shoulder that he realizes this. Fortunately, he'd stopped the bleeding and his ship had been docked safely in a neutral space station.
He just... needed to see if he could find some kind of mechanic around. Walking around with a severed limb sure got Aftermath some looks. Tired as he was though, the armored truck sure couldn't give a back flipping Trypticon about what people thought.
